My Mother, My Refuge, My Strength
- “A mother’s arms are made of tenderness and children sleep soundly in them.” —Victor Hugo
Mother’s Day, holiday in honour of mothers that is celebrated in countries
throughout the world.
During the Middle
Ages, it became customary to allow those who had moved away to return to their
home parishes and mothers on Laetare Sunday, the fourth Sunday of Lent. This
evolved into Mothering Sunday in the United Kingdom, where it has remained
until the present day, though it has been largely supplanted by Mother's Day.
Mother's Day is a
very important day to celebrate for our mothers because it reminds them of
their worth and the sacrifices they make just to be a good mother, even if we
sometimes fail them. Mothers are the light of our homes, so it is critical that
we recognize the sacrifices they make to illuminate the darkness in our lives.
Giving a kiss and
saying I LOVE YOU is already enough for them to remind them how much you love
and care for them. Because kissing them and saying I LOVE YOU is greater than
all the material things that we could give. Because mothers know how to
appreciate little things from our hearts.
So as we celebrate
Mother’s day and not just this day may
we continue to care for them, love them and lift them up.
- “A mother is clothed with strength and dignity, laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks her words are wise and she gives instructions with kindness.” —Proverbs
Magandang hapon, David. Mahusay ang pagkakagawa mo ng sanaysay na ito. Yung kakintalan nito ay aking nagustuhan.
